<p style='text-align: justify;'> A fundamental and very popular <i>sūtra</i> on various topics of <i>mahāyāna</i> Buddhism (philosophy, medicine, legends, <i>dhāraṇī</i>s etc.), dating to no later than the early 5th century CE. In Nepal it is considered to be one of the nine <i>dharma</i>s. According to the colophon, this manuscript was written in the late 18th century in Kathmandu during the reign of Raṇa Bahādur Shah (1775–1805), and commissioned by a certain Dhālasika as an object of worship. </p>
