Western Medieval Manuscripts : Greek Canonical and theological miscellany

Western Medieval Manuscripts

The manuscript is a little Greek Canonical and theological miscellany, elegantly written by the scribe Konstantinos Paleocappas, who worked at the royal library at Fontainebleau in the middle of the 16th century. The scribe copied the manuscript in 1554 for a certain Lancelot, probably to be identified with the French scholar and diplomat Lancelot de Carle, to whom he addresses a verse dedication (f. 2v).

Dr Erika Elia
