<p style='text-align: justify;'> This fragment, found in the same bundle as Add. 1049.1, consists of just two leaves, the first of which contains the colophon of a work called <i>Jñānārṇavamahātantra</i>, while the second is completely blank. Nothing is known of this Tantra which, judging from the single surviving line before the colophon, is not the same as the much later <i>Jñānārṇavatantra</i> of the Śrīvidyā tradition. On paleographic grounds this mysterious fragment can be dated to the first half of the 9th century CE, since it is written in a script that is virtually identical to that of Add. 1049.1, dated to the year 252 of the Aṃśuvarman/Mānadeva era (828 CE). </p>
