This fragment, found in the same bundle as Add. 1049.1, consists of just two leaves, the first of which contains the colophon of a work called Jñānārṇavamahātantra, while the second is completely blank. Nothing is known of this Tantra which, judging from the single surviving line before the colophon, is not the same as the much later Jñānārṇavatantra of the Śrīvidyā tradition. On paleographic grounds this mysterious fragment can be dated to the first half of the 9th century CE, since it is written in a script that is virtually identical to that of Add. 1049.1, dated to the year 252 of the Aṃśuvarman/Mānadeva era (828 CE).
