Sanskrit Manuscripts

A modern manuscript of the Dvāviṃśatyavadānakathā. This manuscript has been used by M. Okada for her edition (1993), where it is given the siglum E. According to the stemma codicum provided in the edition, this manuscript belongs to the branch which spawned from the manuscript dated 1800, labeled as A. However, the overall look of the manuscript points to an earlier date, probably the 18th century—a date suggested also by Bendall, who dated the manuscript to the 18th-19th century (Bendall 1883: 50).
