Allman will succeed Bentham as President of Linnean Society. Busk has refused. Huxley is well. Hooker has indoctrinated Sir Stafford Northcote with his merits. Lyell frail. Old J. E. Gray goes on publishing. "Is not [Thomas] Belt splendid!"
