<p style='text-align: justify;'>The first and fifth part of the diaries written by Edward Granville Browne. This volume consists of four notebooks. The first two contain notes in preparation for his journey to Persia dated August 1887 including lists of requisites, lists of names, places and their distances from each other, drawings, poetry and various random notes and sketches made at different times. </p><p style='text-align: justify;'> The <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(152);return false;'>third</a> narrates Browne's journey from Trabzon or Trebizonde in Turkey to Tehran where the first part of his journey ended. The <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(418);return false;'>fourth</a> contains a description of his journey back to England.</p>
