Lewis-Gibson : Masora; list

Lewis-Gibson

A bilingual, alphabetic masoretic list, containing entries beginning with the letter ה. The majority of the entries concern hapax translation choices from the Hebrew Torah to the Targum. Entries are separated by the Hebrew letter ל. The fragment is vocalised with the archaic simple Babylonian vowel signs, which still resemble the letters from which they were derived. The list has been corrected and expanded with various interlinear and marginal additions, at least some of which are in a different hand to the main text. Ca. 9th-11th century.
