<p style='text-align: justify;'><a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(1);return false;'>Recto:</a> Text opens after basmala: حفظك الله وعافاك. The writer reports that he has acquired a plot of low lying land (بقعة) in a place known as ابناج. He proposes to give half to the addressee to sew it with trefoil (لزرعه قرط) and requests him to send urgently what he can of the dues (فرايك حفظك الله فى تعجيل الكتاب الى بما يكفيها من الترسيم). Closes with the same formula as appears at the opening. <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(2);return false;'>Verso:</a>Address of the letter on the recto: لابى العلا. </p>
