Cairo Genizah : Letter

Meʾir b. Jacob (of Narbonne)

Cairo Genizah

Recto: the main text is apparently a letter to Solomon he-Ḥasid, but the content is mostly lost. The recto also has a small patch of text in one corner in a different hand, mentioning הפסד (vocalised), ‘loss, damage’, and an address written upside down at the bottom, belonging to the letter on verso. The address refers to the Nagid Abū l-Ḥasan b. M[...] and is from Meʾir b. Jacob from Narbonne. Verso: two pieces of text are visible, one of them mirrored, but very little is legible. It is possible that pieces from different leaves have become stuck together.
