Cairo Genizah : Letter

Cairo Genizah

Statement in letter form (with faṣl above the text) in which an old man, a Nasi from Mosul who later settled in Fusṭāṭ, recounts a visit to Maimonides’ house when he was a young man and the hospitability with which he and his son al-Jalāl were treated by Maimonides and his son Abraham. Also mentions al-Faḵr, who apparently had been too shy to enter the house.
