<p style='text-align: justify;'>Letter from Fusṭāṭ, in which the sender, a newcomer from Yemen, describes himself as ‘a pigeon whose wings have been clipped’ (line 1). He writes to his brother in Alexandria concerning his difficulties in having to live on a half or a quarter dirham a day, as well as passing on family news. </p>
