<p style='text-align: justify;'>Fragment from a power of attorney, in which the woman Mudalallā b. Wahbān, appoints Joseph b. Manṣūr (known as Ibn al-Aḵaḥ), to act on her behalf in all her claims against her husband Ṣedaqa (known as al-Bāwaridī) b. ʿEli (known as al-Dimašqī), who has been absent for one year in the Holy Land, during which time he has lived in Ramla and has gone bankrupt. Joseph is to seek one year’s alimony, 20 dinars and a bill of divorce on behalf of the abandoned wife. Dated Sunday, 4th Tammuz 1335 (= 1024 CE), in Fusṭāṭ. </p>
