<p style='text-align: justify;'>Recto: part of a letter, c. 1030 CE, written by Elijah ha-Kohen ‘son of a Gaʾon’ (i.e. the future Gaʾon Elijah b. Solomon), probably in Jerusalem, to his cousin Abraham ha-Kohen b. Isaac, expressing condolences following the tragic death of the recipient’s father Isaac b. Furāt, perhaps due to political intrigue. Verso: unrelated jottings in Hebrew, Judaeo-Arabic and Arabic. </p>
