<p style='text-align: justify;'>Part of a deed of settlement noting that Aaron, father of Ḵalaf b. Aaron al-Bayḍānī of Ramla had lent 39 and a half dinars to Ḥesed b. Yašar (Ḥesed b. Sahl Tustarī), and that Ḵalaf has received the money back from Ḥesed’s estate. Ḥesed was known as Faḍl (פצל). Ḥesed’s surviving brother Abū l-Manṣūr Aaron b. Sahl was involved in the repayment. The date and location are not preserved, but Ḥesed is known to have been executed in Egypt in the summer of 1050 CE. Witnessed by Saʿadya b. Ephraim he-Ḥaver, Mevoraḵ b. Saʿīd b. Moses, Daʾūd b. Moses, Solomon b. ʿEli, Isaac b. Muʾammal, Judah b. Samuel, Samuel b. Naḥum, Sahlān Roš ha-Seder b. Abraham Roš ha-Seder (active 1024-1050 CE), Samuel b. Abraham, and Nathan ha-Levi b. Yešuʿa.</p>
