Question to a Muslim jurisconsult from a man who drank a certain medicine and immediately collapsed and then had to leave the house to relieve himself. While he was out he met someone who made comments about the medicine that frightened him and caused him a lot of unnecessary distress in thinking that he had a chronic illness. There were no witnesses but the writer seeks the jurisconsult’s opinion on this turn of events (i.e. whether he is due restitution from the person who had worried him unnecessarily). Ca. 12th-13th century.
