<p style='text-align: justify;'>From a work on pharmacopoeia describing the preparation of medical pastes with vegetable ingredients. The fragment describes a preparation based on costus and a paste with beneficial effects on the liver. The work preserves material parallel to Avicenna’s Al-qanūn fī l-ṭibb (‘Canon of medicine’; ed. Būlāq, Cairo 1871, III:333).</p>
