Walking with Constable : Walk C

Walking with Constable

With the blazing sun and a heat warning to contend with on 11 July 2022, Walk C was one of the longest routes we’d planned. A small but dedicated group, we started at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Stoke-by-Nayland by identifying the viewpoint for the ‘Stoke-by-Neyland, Suffolk’ mezzotint. It was then a mostly dry and dusty journey over to Stratford St Mary and then onto East Bergholt. The walk finished by looking back over the landscape towards Stoke-by-Nayland at the ‘Autumnal Sunset’ mezzotint.
