A paper manuscript of the Mahāvākyaprabodha, which includes here two works: the relatively well-known Saṃnyāsagrahaṇapaddhati (which constitutes the largest portion of the manuscript) and the lesser known Nirvāṇayogapāṭhoccāraṇavyākhyā. The Saṃnyāsagrahaṇapaddhati, wrongly attributed to Śaṅkara, is known under various names: Saṃnyāsagrāhyapaddhati, Saptasūtrī/Saptasūtra, Saptasūtropaniṣad and sometimes Vedāntaviśrāntopaniṣad; it presents the gist of the ceremony of renunciation (saṃnyāsa) from an Advaita Vedānta standpoint. The transmitted texts of the Saṃnyāsagrahaṇapaddhati, of variable lengths and contents, would have been composed around the 16th century (Bouy 1994: 227).
",
