Rāghavānanda Sarasvatī

Sanskrit Manuscripts

Unpublished commentary or “garland of chapters” (adhikaraṇamālā) on the Mīmāmsāsūtras by Rāghavānanda Sarasvatī, who may have lived in the 18th century (Mishra 1964: 62). The work is the same as the one described under Add.895 and 1715. The manuscript contains the first book (adhyāya) of the collection and part of the second (up to 2.1.33). In the final rubric of the first book (f. 31r7-8), the author is said to be the pupil of one Viśveśvara Bhagavatpāda, who might be identical with Gāgā Bhaṭṭa, the renowned author of the Bhāṭṭacintāmaṇi (middle of the 17th century according to Mishra 1964: 53-4).
