Western Medieval Manuscripts : Three short texts in Greek about the Holy Spirit
Western Medieval Manuscripts

This leaf is part of a collection of fragments bought by Cambridge University Library from Constantin von Tischendorf's heirs in 1876.

It contains Three short texts in Greek about the Holy Spirit, written by two hands found in another of Tischendorf's fragments, Cambridge, University Library, MS Add. 1880.13, therefore they probably derive from the same volume. MS Add. 1880.13, containing George Koressios's Dialogue with a Latin teacher, is from the same manuscript as Cambridge, University Library, MS Add. 1880.16. A brown stain in the upper part of the recto of MS Add. 1880.17 near the edge matches a similar stain on f. 2 of Add. 1880.16, attesting that, at a certain point, these two fragments were located together. It seems likely, therefore, that fragments Add. 1880.13, 1880.16 and 1880.17 were originally part of the same volume.

Dr Erika Elia
