Sanskrit Manuscripts : Bṛhadāraṇyakabhāṣyaṭīkā

Raghūttama Muni, Raghūttama Tīrtha

Sanskrit Manuscripts

An incomplete paper manuscript of the Bṛhadāraṇyakabhāṣyaṭīkā, a gloss (ṭīkā) on Ānandatīrtha's Dvaita Vedānta commentary (bhāṣya) on the Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣad. The gloss, also known as the Bhāvabodha, was composed by the 16th-century Mādhva theologian Raghūttama Muni, student of Raghuvatīrtha (also known as Raghuvarya Tīrtha). In this work, Raghūttama comments Ānandatīrtha's commentary, and often compares it with Śaṅkara's commentary on this Upaniṣad, criticising the latter (Sharma 1981: 465).
