Sanskrit Manuscripts : Dhātupāṭha

Hemacandra, Hemacandra

Sanskrit Manuscripts

This manuscript contains the Dhātupāṭha by the 12th century Jain polymath Hemacandra, a list of Sanskrit verbal roots. It is divided into nine classes (class two and three in one class) of the present-tense system, accompanied by standardised meaning entries. The text is rather faulty; many roots are missing. This manuscript was written for the study of Udayadharma.
