<p style='text-align: justify;'>Laboratory notebook containing records for poultry breeding lines W 281-427 (birds which hatched between May and September 1900).</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Entries for each bird include notes on colour, comb and other physical characteristics, state of health, and cause of death, etc. The entries for birds W 321 [<a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(53);return false;'>pp. 41v-42r</a>] and W 325 [<a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(61);return false;'>page 45v</a>] include drawings of foot deformities; that for bird W 335, marked ‘v. peculiar’, includes a full body sketch [<a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(75);return false;'>page 55v</a>]. Birds W 406 and W 409 are marked ‘kd [killed] by dog’ [pp. <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(183);return false;'>128</a> and <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(186);return false;'>131</a>].</p>
