<p style='text-align: justify;'>Laboratory notebook containing records for poultry breeding lines W 700-885 (birds which hatched between February and April 1902).</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Entries for each bird include notes on colour, comb and other physical characteristics or oddities (e.g. crooked toes), state of health, and cause of death, etc. The entry for bird W 821 includes two drawings of its unusual beak [<a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(150);return false;'>page 128</a>]. Some birds are marked ‘gone to Edith’ [Edith Rebecca Saunders], e.g. W 789 [<a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(113);return false;'>page 96</a>] and W 792-793 [<a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(116);return false;'>pp. 99-100</a>].</p>
