Sanskrit Manuscripts : Kumārasambhava

Sanskrit Manuscripts

A modern Jaina manuscript of Kālidāsa's Kumārasambhava containing the first seven sargas. The eighth sarga, a vivid description of the 25-year long lovemaking between Śiva and Pārvatī, was sometimes omitted by medieval scribes due to its erotic content (for instance also in Add.2266, another modern paper manuscript).
