<p style='text-align: justify;'> The manuscript contains a <i>Nomocanon</i> in 277 chapters in modern Greek. The Nomocanon is a collection of ecclesiastical regulations (canons) and civil laws relating to ecclesiastical matters.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'> This codex was owned by the English teacher, classical scholar and educational reformer William Henry Denham Rouse (1863–1950), fellow of Christ's College. He cited it as "Nomocanon iii" in an article he published in 1899 about "Folklore from the Southern Sporades" (Rouse 1899), where he stated that he had acquired it, with three other Greek manuscripts (Cambridge, Christ's College, 262, 264, and 266) in the neighbourhood of the Greek Isle of Cos.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Dr. Erika Elia</p>
