<p style='text-align: justify;'>This letterpress copybook of 99 pages was used both by Horace Darwin and Albert George Dew-Smith to transact the business of the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company. Although it predominantly contains specifications of instruments (with prices) to be supplied to named clients and estimates for the design and manufacture of bespoke instruments, it also includes letters from Darwin to clients describing the proposed instrument and accompanied by sketches, invoices and letters to suppliers.
