<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>Given the time and energy invested in them, these embroideries were highly valued and would often be re-used and recycled. Here, disparate textile fragments of a bedspread have been reworked to make a cushion cover. This adaptation produces an abstract tableau, displaying new juxtapositions of peacocks, embroidered in the red and blue threads associated with the region of Epirus.</p></p>
