<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>One of three napkins that demonstrate the visual and material richness of hospitality in Ottoman households. They were used only during the most formal meals. While dining, guests could feast their eyes on the diverse and opulent embroideries; cut melons, tulips and hyacinths, landscapes and cityscapes with streams, boats, bridges, and glistening pools, highlighted with metallic threads.</p></p>
