<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>David Jones' response to a proposal from Jim Ede and some other friends to provide David Jones with an allowance. Jones says he has spending about '£6 per week of late years with the rise in expenses of everything' [equivalent to ca. £75 per week in 2014]. Tom [Burns?] had been sending him £2 per week for some time but had had to reduce it on account of his recent marriage. The Grisewood's had visited and been working in tbhe garden. Ede was in Truro at the time of writing. Jones cannot concentrate on anything but his book. From Pigott's, Noth Dean, High Wycombe, Bucks.</p></p>
