Discusses the severe weather, his health, the redecorations at Northwick Lodge, French scholarship and his own lack of it, 'Faust', Helen's parents, Tom Burns, Harman Grisewood, the American edition of 'In Parenthesis'. A young French scholar, Catherine Iraines is writing a dissertation on 'The Anathemata', and he commend the rigour of French scholarship. Corrects a mistake in the inscription. No address</p></p>
