An alphabetic acrostic. The first word of each strophe is the same as the first word of each verse in Lamentations 2. The biblical citations at the end of each strophe are taken from Leviticus 26. (b) The first part of איכה אשפתו פתוח כקבר, up to the beginning of the ה strophe. This alphabetic acrostic is built on the opening words of each verse of Lamentations 1, 3 and 5.</p>
