Lewis-Gibson : Piyyuṭ

Lewis-Gibson

Piyyuṭim. Folio 1 contains piyyuṭim for morning prayers. Folio 1r opens with (a) the last two lines of what may be an ’Ofan, concluding: Each stanza consists of four short lines. The first letters of each stanza spell out יהודה. The first three lines of each stanza share a rhyme, while the final line of each stanza ends with the rhyme syllable לים. Folio 2 contains part of an alphabetic Azhara. Each letter seems to begin five lines. The letters ס to צ are preserved.
