Lewis-Gibson : Letter

Lewis-Gibson

Letter, probably from a son to his father (although ‘father’ could also just be a figure of speech towards an older addressee), expressing the writer’s longing and desperation during his travels. Probably sent from Damascus as the writer describes the lack of sustenance there. A letter has been sent with a certain Manṣūr. Mentions Ibn Abū l-Zakkār.
