<p style='text-align: justify;'>This <i>Greek Gospel book</i> was produced at the end of 15th century for the humanist scholar Guillaume Budé (b. 1468, d. 1540) by Georgios Hermonymos of Sparta (b. c. 1430, d. c. 1511), who in addition to being a copyist, was also a diplomat (he was sent to England by Pope Sixtus IV) and the first lecturer of Greek at the Collège de Sorbonne in Paris.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>The manuscript was meant to be a grand copy, made with high quality parchment, initials decorated or traced with gold ink, as well as marginal summaries, running heads and a final colophon. The original cover is lost and replaced by a medium quality one.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Hermonymos also copied CUL Kk.5.35, Kk.6.23, Nn.4.2 and Corpus Christi College, Parker Library, Cambridge, MS 224; Kk.5.35 and Ll.2.13 have in common the Gospels and two final texts from Psellus and Gregory of Nazianus.
