Alternative Title(s): A platt map or geographicall description of divers lands in the parish of Uggeshall in the cownty of Suff': being parcell of the possessions of Anthony Baker of Wrentham in the cownty aforesayd gentlman and Robert Baker his sonne, which platt or mapp hath figures of reference in every severall parcell to a booke of survey or field booke made of the premisses, in which booke each severall parcell is abbutted and the tenure & true content is set downe, for example doe but observe the red figures in any close or parcell that you desire to know the content of, and those figures you shall finde on the margent of the booke in order and against them the abbuttalls & the true content. Note that the greene lines are hedges, the prickt lines are meeres, and old divisions out of use, the yelow duble prickt lines are high ways and wayes now in use, the names are as in the platt itselfe you may observe, made, and finished, primo die Januarii Anno Dni 1650; Map or geographical description of divers lands in the parish of Uggeshall

Note(s): 17th century estate plan.; Buildings shown pictorially with red or brown roofs.; Plan drawn with south at the top as indicated by a highly decorative compass rose coloured crimson, green, blue and brown, with a Tudor style rose at it's centre.; An elaborately drawn pair of compass dividers sits on top of a scale bar with measurements shown in perches.; Map framed by a striking geometric designed border in crimson, blue and yellow.; Scale approximately 1:3,960; (E 1°35ʹ23ʺ--E 1°36ʹ37ʺ/N 52°22ʹ12ʺ--N 52°21ʹ36ʺ).
