<p style='text-align: justify;'>Illuminated Qurʾān with two <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(8);return false;'>decorated medallions</a> and two <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(10);return false;'>magnificent headpieces</a> containing the Fātiḥa. The text of the Qurʾān is followed by some <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(594);return false;'>prayers</a>, and a <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(596);return false;'>Fal-nāmah</a>. The manuscript is not dated, but <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(7);return false;'>dates of ownership</a> of 1028 A.H./1618 C.E. and 1066 A.H./1655 C.E. occur at the beginning. From the Library of Tipu Sultan, ruler of Mysore, seized by the British East India Company after he was killed during the siege of his palace in 1799. The manuscript was subsequently presented to the Library by the Company.</p>
