If it is smallpox, immediately report it to hygiene small teams or hygiene organisations, let everyone know, and take early action to conduct every kind of urgent epidemic prevention work. Anyone who contracts it should be transported to a separate location and isolated. No relatives and friends should go to visit them, in order to prevent the disease from spreading; not only can they themselves contract smallpox and come to harm, but also they can spread germs to other people. Close contacts, whether they have been vaccinated or not, all must immediately get vaccinated, in order to strengthen their resistance. This way, even if they encounter smallpox germs, they won’t contract smallpox. The bedding, clothing, and items used by sick people should be washed in boiling water where possible; those items that cannot be washed in boiling water should be put out in the sunlight, and any furniture should be washed with lime. Conduct thorough disinfection in order to exterminate smallpox germs.
