Acquired in Isfahan by Jean Otter between July 1737 and April 1739 for the Bibliotheque du Roy; seems that both parts were in the Savafid collection - there is seal on f. 2r and ff.551v and 552r : perhaps for 'Abbas I's Library (Francis Richard's notes). This is a second SN manuscript bound together in Suppl. Persan 489. From f 552v to 615r (Afrasiyab's reign). The dimensions are different, it has no colophon and 9 spaces for miniatures, 2 being painted in, the 7 others are left blank. (CvR).See Tesniere, M.-E., Tresors de la Bibliotheque nationale de France, Paris, 1999, pp. 43 (no. 24), 213 (no 121).

The text was perhaps produced ca. 1520 in Tabriz and never completed; it was later attached to the first (complete) part of Supp. Pers. 489, which was finished in 946/1546. Some of the images in this part are repeats from the first part (489). II, Le Supplement persan, pt. 1, 1-524, Rome 2013, pp. 644-648, with detailed bibliography. He records the dimensions as 380x270, written area 230x135.
