<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>This volume contains a record of Library accounts and presidents' book purcahses, mainly during the years 1622-77 but also includes records up to 1761.</p><p>One entry is of particular interest on p. <a href='' onclick='store.loadPage(1);return false;'>434</a>: dating from 1639-40, it outlines intructions for contructing a stage, and also for a 'stage-house' (erected nearby to store the stage when not in use). Indeed, during the 16th and 17th-centuries, plays were performed in Queens' Old Hall on a makeshift stage which could be assembled and disassembled as necessary.</p></p>
