<p style='text-align: justify;'><p>The manuscript contains 25 miniatures in a provincial Safavid style, with 7 archaistic paintings added at the beginning of the manuscript in the 20th century. The Preface ends on p.17, and the poem starts with a regular incipit on p. 18, under an illuminated sarlauh.</p><p>For an account of this manuscript and a list of its paintings, see Schmitz and Desai, 2006, pp. 211-12, and pls. 325-327; they only record the 17th-century paintings. There are 24 lines in the written area and further 48 lines written in the margins.</p><p>The detailed colophon gives the date of completion and the names of the scribe and patron, the latter Alf Arslan Beg Dhu'l-Qadir, darugha of Ij. Physical details of the manuscript are taken from Schmitz & Desai, who record 865 pages (i.e. 433 folios). The colophon is on p. 862.</p></p>
