<p style='text-align: justify;'> This copy of Peter Lombard's <i>Glossa super Psalmos</i> was written in the late 12th or early 13th century by an unknown yet “very fine hand". The Psalm verses are written in larger script, with various commentaries surrounding them.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'> Lombard (c1100- c1160) was one of the most widely-read medieval theological writers. Having studied in Paris he went on to become a teacher there, writing his <i>Sentences</i>, <i>Commentary on the Pauline Epistles</i>, and <i>Commentary on the Psalms</i>. This manuscript originally had large decorative initials, but these have been removed. </p>
