Letter from the leader of a small town community sent to the Nagid Mevoraḵ, mentioning Abū Ṭāhir, Abraham, Nathan, Ephraim the cantor and his son, Banī Naḥum ‘the dyers’, Banī Saḥīq and Banī Bānyās. On verso is a postscript, which is copied by another hand below, probably as an exercise. The writer asks Mevoraḵ to use his influence with the authorities for the ḡulām (boy, servant, son) of the Muslim judge Ṯiqat al-Dawla.
