Cairo Genizah

Letter, which includes a long testimony recounting what happened to the writer’s brother Abū Naṣr, who had been travelling, alongside others on a ship belonging to Abū Zikrī. The writer calls himself ʿabd, which probably denotes an actual slave. Mentions the ‘Eastern Sea’, the delta, Šaṭṭanawf, Alexandria, al-Maḥalla, and people such as Abū l-Faraj, Abū l-Faḍl and Abū Saʿd. Abū l-Waḥš sends greetings to the addressee and asks him to buy things for him.
