Cairo Genizah : Letter

Joseph

Cairo Genizah

Letter from Joseph, probably in Fusṭāṭ, to Joseph b. Josiah, also referred to as Joseph ibn Ḏahabī (the goldsmith), expressing disappointment that the addressee has withheld a promised donation. This broken promise is said to have disturbed a Nagid, Roš Kalla, he-Ḥaver, his brother, most probably referring to the brothers Judah and Mevoraḵ, sons of Saʿadya.
