<p style='text-align: justify;'>Part of a begging letter, in which the author’s name is not preserved, to David (who is called Abū Naṣr) b. Isaa[c]. The author explains that he had been forced to flee from Alexandria, leaving behind his four daughters and two sons, on account of the poll-tax and debts totaling 15 dinars. He asks for help, including funding for their journey back to his children’s country of birth, which is probably somewhere is Europe. </p>
