Part of a letter, c. 1026 CE, written by Abraham, on behalf of his father the Gaʾon Solomon b. Judah, probably to Abraham b. Sahlān, in which Solomon praises Saʿadya b. Israel, one of the Tustarī brothers, for his generosity, and expresses his goodwill towards a Karaite Nasi, whose imminent arrival in Jerusalem is a source of great joy, but is urged to arrive before the New Year festivities. Alludes to 1 Samuel 4:13. The letter is signed by Solomon.
