Recto: letter from Isaac b. Nissim the Persian, to Abū Zikrī Yaḥya b. Mevoraḵ. Opens with quotes from Psalms 37:11 and 119:165, followed by an eighteen line poem in praise of the recipient and then an often rhymed prose letter. Greetings are sent to the recipent’s father and mother, and he is encouraged to continue in his own poetic endeavours, said to be superior to those of the writer. Verso: a similar letter in Judaeo-Arabic.
