<p style='text-align: justify;'>Part of a letter, c. 1035 CE, written by the Gaʾon Solomon ‘the humble’ b. Judah, in Jerusalem, regarding disputes between Karaites and Rabbanites, in particular Karaite accusations that the Rabbanites transgress the Sabbath and holidays, resort to Muslim courts and practice witchcraft. A representative of the Nagid of the exile had secured the support of the local governor on the side of the Rabbanites, and thanks and blessings are extended to him and his colleagues. A donation of 25 dinars is acknowledged. </p>
