<p style='text-align: justify;'>Letter by two guardians appointed by Samuel b. Abraham, the banker Joseph b. Benjamin and Yefet ha-Levi b. Ṭoviyya ha-Bavli, and their supervisor Mevoraḵ b. Joseph. The guardians write to notify Samuel’s partners of his demise, and to ask that they take care of his outstanding affairs on behalf of the orphan. The writers ask the late Samuel’s partners to bring either the merchandise held by them or its value in money. The partners are exhorted to live up to their reputations and deal fairly in this matter. Address on verso. Yefet ha-Levi b. Ṭoviyya ha-Bavli is known from other documents dated 1007–1057 CE.</p>
